Oman Basketball Association forms new committee

MUSCAT: The new council of Oman Basketball Association held an official meeting yesterday at the Association headquarters. The meeting began with a speech presented by Fareed bin Khamis al Zedjali, the President of the Oman Basketball Association who praised the results which were achieved by the Omani team. During the meeting, he emphasised to carry on the team efforts and the new board has to pay a great attention to develop and spread the basketball game throughout the Sultanate. The meeting approved to nominate Fareed bin Khamis Al Zadjali to take part in the Oman Olympic Committee elections.

Furthermore, the meeting approved the following:

Fareed al Zedjali,  the chairman of the national committee and Ahmed al Rawas, his deputy. Younis al Zedjali the chairman of the competition committee and Asaad al Hasani his deputy. Ahmed al Rawas the chairman of the financial committee and Edrees al Farsi his deputy. Ahmed bin Darweesh al Balushi the chairman of the referees committee and Younis al Zedjali his deputy. Asaad al Hasni the chairman of training and development committee and Younis al Zedjali his deputy. Fatima al Harthi the chairman of the women committee and Maryam al Hosni here deputy. Abdullah al Yafee the chairman of sport and environment committee and Mohammed al Kiyumi his deputy. And Ahmed al Rawas the chief executive officer. At the end of the meeting all members promised the management board to work as a team to be able to achieve the association targets.
