Oman, Brunei discuss cooperation

MUSCAT: The 17th consultative meeting between the Sultanate and Brunei Darussalam was held at the General Diwan of the Foreign Ministry on Tuesday. Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud al Busaidi, Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry, led the Omani side while the Brunei side was headed by Pehin Dato Lim Jock Seng, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade with the participation of Pehin Dato Mohammed Yasmeen bin Omar, Minister of Energy and Industry at Prime Minister’s Office of Brunei Darussalam.


The two sides discussed aspects of cooperation between the two friendly countries and means of following and promoting them to serve the joint interests between them particularly in areas of trade, commerce, education, health, media and culture. The meeting was attended from the Omani side by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah al Qatabi, Head of Asean Department at the Foreign Ministry, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashil al Maskari, Sultanate’s Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam and officials at the Foreign Ministry while it was attended from the Brunei side by the delegation accompanying the guest. — ONA
