Omantel is showcasing its latest and most innovative ICT services for the corporate sector. The services and offers launched are designed to seamlessly connect customers and corporates in the Sultanate.
The major thrust of this strategy is around Smart City which aims to leverage big data to integrate core services from transportation, retail, home security, utilities and many others to improve the lives of people and enhance environmental protection, public safety, urban living while providing seamless access to services and data. Such smart city installations will deliver greater connectivity, automated intelligence and immersive technology convenience with a wide range of business and consumer applications.
This is also in keeping with Omantel 3.0 strategy which is based on four pillars — digital inclusion, exceeding customer expectations, innovation in offerings and agile business management — predicated on enhancing the smart capabilities of Oman thus playing a major role in achieving the nation’s digital vision and wider economic development.
Part of its strategy to enhance the business landscape in the Sultanate through comprehensive ICT solutions, Omantel has also developed a variety of solutions across sectors like education. It has launched the digital inclusion strategy in the Sultanate called Education as a Service (EaaS) — a unique programme for the education sector that allows access to e-Education at school and on the go, enabling a truly digital lifestyle.
In addition, Omantel has also announced the introduction of the ‘mOmkin’ partnership to its corporate customers and a new subsidiary for Internet of Things (IoT) communications service.
