MUSCAT, APRIL 26 -
Talal bin Said al Mamari (pictured), CEO of Omantel, has received a major recognition at the Top CEO Awards 2017 ceremony held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Al Mamari was ranked in the top 100 list of regional CEOs compiled by Trends magazine in conjunction with INSEAD business school.
The red carpet awards ceremony was held at the King Abdullah Economic City, Saudi Arabia, where the achievements of the top CEOs in the GCC region were celebrated.
The ceremony was a tribute to 100 leading business leaders whose efforts towards the success of their organisations played an instrumental role in the continued growth of the GCC.
Trends magazine launched the ranking of Top CEOs in the region in 2011. The aim was to develop a transparent and credible ranking in the Gulf region and promote corporate governance.
Commenting on his ranking, Al Mamari said: “I am pleased to receive this award — it would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of my team who consistently work very hard for Omantel to be a successful brand. This award is a confirmation of Omantel success and achievements as a company, and recognition of its contribution to the continued transformation of the telecommunications landscape in the Sultanate.”
Under Al Mamari’s leadership, Omantel has witnessed significant success under the Company’s 3.0 strategy of digital transformation. The company has also witnessed increased revenues despite slow economic conditions.
