MUSCAT: Mehmet Simsek, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey, who is visiting the Sultanate, visited the National Museum and the Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) on Wednesday. The guest was briefed on the museum, which includes 14 halls built on 13,700 square meter, such as the Earth Hall, Human Hall, Marine History Hall, Arms Hall, Civilised Achievement Hall, Aflaj Hall, Currencies Hall, Pre-History and Ancient Ages Hall, Oman and External World Hall, Glory of Islam Hall and Renaissance Hall. The Turkish Deputy Prime Minister also visited the Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) during which he was briefed on the house, its facilities and the nature of shows presented by ROHM and its year-round programme, in addition to its latest equipment used for the world music performances. The guest toured various ROHM during which he viewed its capabilities in harmoniously combining the Omani architectural, cultural heritage and various world architectural cultures. The guest also familiarised himself with role of the House in the cultural field and its presentation of prestigious classic arts. — ONA
