JEDDAH: Saudi Aramco has appointed a new senior vice-president for downstream operations, a company statement said, while an industry source said other vice-presidents were also appointed at a board meeting last week.
Abdulaziz al Judaimi was named as senior vice- president for downstream operations, Saudi Arabia’s state oil giant said on its Twitter account, after the board met last week in Shanghai to discuss the company’s plans.
Downstream covers refining and chemicals, a key area in the company’s goal of diversifying operations as it prepares for an IPO next year, when up to 5 per cent of the firm is expected to be listed in Riyadh and on other international bourses.— Reuters
