MUSCAT: A delegation of six students from Indian School Al Ghubra, Bhagyashri Ganapathy, Dhananjai Murali, Mohammad Khuroo, Sashank Singh Rawat, Snigdha Ghosh Dastidar and Soham Sameer Raniga accompanied by Swaroopa Raghupathy participated in the Round Square Conference hosted by Genesis Global School, Noida, India, from May 28 to 31. The conference was attended by delegates from various schools across the South Asia and the Gulf region.
The theme of the conference was ‘Together Towards Tomorrow’. It aimed at highlighting the significance of togetherness and the collective measures that can be taken to steer human des-tiny in a positive direction despite the many challenges faced by the world in the 21st century.
The conference opened with thought-provoking keynote addresses by eminent speakers, Sanjay Singh from the Indian Foreign Ser-vice, who has served in Indian Missions all over the world and Dr Sumer Singh, Former Chairman of IPSC, Former Regional Director of Round Square and currently serving on the board of AFS.
The intellectually stimulating barazza sessions, the en-lightening community service outings, the exciting adventurous activities and the evenings spent enjoying the multicultural displays put up by the delegates made the conference a truly memorable experience.
The conference fostered in the young delegates the spirit of unity and togetherness. It made them appreciate the richness that lies in a human society which is based on inclusiveness and understanding.
