The Omani fans are one step away from celebrating the second Arabian Gulf Cup title as the Oman national team take on UAE in the final. The two neighbouring countries go head-to-head at Jaber International Stadium on January 5, with kick off at 19:30.
It is a repeat of the 2007 showpiece which went to Emirates side 1-0, in Abu Dhabi.
The Red Warriors also had lost to UAE 1-0 in the group stage so they are looking for a revenge.
As all players are available for both the managers, there will not be any surprise in the line-ups. Verbeek, who made only one change in the starting line-up in four games, is set to continue with a 4-2-3-1 formation.
UAE’s Alberto Zaccheroni is likely to go with his favourite 3-4-2-1 system, which is turned to be 5-4-1 defensively.
Although both the managers are from different European schools with different tactician styles, they both tend to be conservative.
