Muscat, Feb 3 - Oman national U-16 team concluded their internal training camp with a 2-0 win over Fanja U-19 team on Saturday. In the internal training camp that took a place in Muscat from January 21 to February 4, the team played three friendly games, having two wins and one draw. Manager Yaqoob al Sabahi’s boys drew their first friendly with Samayil U-19 team and defeated an U-19 Oman club team, before ending the camp with a 2-0 victory over Fanja. “I am happy with the outcome of this training camp, especially we tried 7 new players,” Oman national U-16 team manager Yaqoob al Sabahi told Oman Daily Observer after Fanja’s friendly. “This camp is a series of an extensive programme which includes almost a monthly training camp, so that we prepare very well for the 2018 AFC U-16 Championship in Malaysia. “We will have another training camp next March and we are planning to play two friendly games with national teams,” Al Sabahi added.
