MUSCAT: The Omani international football referee Ahmed Al Kaf will officiate in the clash of Al Hilal FC (KSA) and Al Ain (UAE) in the first round of the AFC Champions League, that will be played on February 13, at Amir Faisal bin Fahad in Saudi Arabia. Al Kaf, who officiated in the U-23 AFC final between Vietnam and Uzbekistan last month in China, will be assisted by Omani referees Abu Baker al Amri and Rashi al Ghaithi as linesmen and Omar al Yaqoubi as fourth official. The 34-year Ahmed Al Kas, who became an international in 2012, is among the best referees in the continent, officiating lots of important games either in the AFC Champions League or in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
