MUSCAT: Meethaq, the pioneer of Islamic banking in Oman from Bank Muscat, in step with its commitment to promote SME development, hosted a ceremony to sign three agreements to expand the network partners of the “Accelerate SME Oman” portal, developed in partnership by Meethaq Bank and Thomson Reuters. The three agreements were signed at the Bank Muscat head office by Thomson Reuters with Ajyal Al Mustaqbal, Sharakah and Zubair Small Enterprises Centre, in the presence of Sulaiman al Harthy, Deputy Chief Executive Officer — Meethaq Islamic Banking.
The ‘Accelerate SME Oman’ digital platform serves as the gateway for SMEs in the Sultanate. The portal provides start-ups and SMEs access to the most comprehensive source of business resources, services and funding solutions. The innovative portal is accessible on (http://meethaq.acceleratesme.om) and is designed to help SMEs achieve their business goals and thereby promote SME development in Oman.

The online community hub facilitates networking opportunities with business owners and entrepreneurs. The facility helps to measure financial health of companies and benchmark against peers with the ‘Trust Rating’ tool.
