For the fourth time, the Sultanate, represented by the Photographic Society of Oman (PSO) wins the World Cup of photography at the 39th Youth Benallie which was held in Bulgaria and organised by International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP).
The results of the competition announced by the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) resulted that the Sultanate of Oman wins the first place by (459) points in the under 16 category, followed by Slovenia, which won the gold medal (439) points, and Serbia, which won the silver medal by (434) points, then Russia, which won the bronze medal (421) points.
In the under 21 category, the Sultanate was announced to win 437 points, followed by Norway (427), Bulgaria (413) and Cyprus (412) ) Points.
The Sultanate also won four individual awards as Maa’li Huwaishel al Shukaili was granted the FIAP silver medal, and Hayat al Balushi won the bronze medal in the category of youth under 16 years.
In the category of youth under the age of 21, the photographer Qais al Badaei won the FIAP silver medal and Abdullah al Ruzaiqi won the bronze medal.
The award ceremony will be held on June, 13, 2018 at the National Culture Palace in Sofia, Bulgaria. It is worth noting that the Sultanate won the cups of photography previously in the years 2012, 2014 and 2016.
