Former Oman national football team player Mohammed Khamis al Oraimi was appointed as head coach for Al Oruba club for the remainder of the current Omantel League season.
Al Oraimi from Sur, will replace Said al Farsi who led the team from the second leg of Omantel league.
This decision was taken in the last meeting of board member for Al Oruba club late on Wednesday. During the meeting, the board member thanked all the efforts and contributions that came from coach Said al Farsi and they wished him all the best for him in his coming new football career path.
Mohammed Khamis al Oraimi started his career with Al Oruba by leading the team training sessions and preparations for the next round of Omantel League against Oman club tomorrow (May 6) at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex.
Al Oraimi is considered as one of the best coaches in Oman and has huge experience in Omani clubs and national teams. He worked as assistant coach for Sur and Al Oruba club. Also, he is assistant of Hamed al Azani, head coach of Oman national Olympic team.
Al Oruba faced three losses in the last three rounds of Omantel League. South Al Sharqiyah giants lost against Fanja, Sohar and Saham respectively. Al Arouba is currently positioned in fifth place with 25 points. Although, the team is in the fifth place, they are in the relegation zone as the gap between Al Oruba and Dhofar club which is at last place is six points only.
The new coach of Al Oruba has a difficult task with the remaining rounds of Omantel League.
One of the main advantages that Al Oruba will have is that Mohammed al Oraimi has knowledge about the team and their players. This point will add positive feedback to the team to achieve better results and remain with stars’ teams in Omantel league.
