Exams postponed to June 3

MUSCAT, May 27 - As tropical storm hit Dhofar and Al Wusta governorates, the Ministry of Education has decided to postpone General Education Diploma and its equivalent exams until June 3. The new schedules have been announced through the ministry’s media channels as dates have been extended till after Eid al Fitr.  The General Education Diploma and Islamic Studies and the General Education Diploma for private schools (bilingual) will conclude on June 21, while General Education Diploma at Royal Guard of Oman Technical College (bilingual) on June 13.


However, other grades are expected to conduct their exams as scheduled. Students of the 11th grade from public and private schools in Dhofar Governorate will take the remaining second round exams of the second semester, expected to start from June 10, according to the schedule previously announced. Examinations for 11th grade students for the public and private schools in the Governorate of Al Wusta and the rest of the Sultanate are on the same dates as previously announced (Sunday, May 27 to Wednesday, May 30). Chemistry and Biology exams of the 9th and 10th grades of private schools (bilingual) in Dhofar, which were scheduled for May 27 and 28, will be postponed to June 3 and 4 respectively.
