MUSCAT: A delegation from the International Royal Academy of the United Nations (IRAUN) visited the Public Establishment of Industrial Estates (PEIE), in order to learn about its pioneering experience in creating the right business environment and to explore promising investment opportunities in the Sultanate. Hilal bin Hamad al Hasani, CEO of PEIE, briefed the delegation on PEIE vision represented in strengthening Oman’s position as a leading regional hub for manufacturing, ICT, entrepreneurship, innovation and excellence.
He explained PEIE general objectives to attract foreign investments to the Sultanate, localisation of the national capital and stimulation of the private sector to contribute to sustainable and comprehensive economic and social development. The delegation from the International Royal Academy of the United Nations also learnt during its visit about Knowledge Oasis Muscat, its objectives and mission, represented in developing the capacities of the individual and of society; by harnessing and applying knowledge, making use of the Sultanate’s competitiveness. — ONA
