Al Suwaiq: The Port of Al Suwaiq has received 44 vessels mostly Wooden launches since the beginning of operations last September 2018.
In December operations at the port expanded to include dock landing ships and barges. Nearly 9,000 tonnes of goods were handled by the end of 2018 and the cargo volume is on the rise.
The Ministry of Transport and Communication (MoTC) has assigned the task of managing the operations at the port of Suwaiq to Marafi Company.
Marafi Asyad has plans to increase of capacity handling at the port to enable it handle more goods through large vessels.
