Muscat: The chairman of the Public Authority for Consumer Protection has issued a decree 9/2019 on banning the circulation of military or similar clothing and accessories.
Article 1 of the resolution prohibits the wearing of military or similar clothes and their accessories.
Article 2 stipulates the punishment of a person who contravenes the decision, stating that "Without prejudice and as per the penalties provided for in the Consumer Protection Law, anyone who contravenes the provisions of this Decree shall be punished by an administrative fine of not less than RO50.
In case of continuation of this violation, an administrative fine of RO 50 shall be imposed for each day on which the violation continues, provided that the total shall not exceed RO 2,000.
