IBRI: The third scout camp in Al Dhahirah Governorate kicked off at the Youth Complex in Ibri. Organised by the Directorate General of Education in Al Dhahirah, the camp will run until Sunday.
The camp aims to enhance scouting activities and training programmes in the Governorate. The camp is being attended by 85 scouts and 15 scout leaders from various scout units across the governorate.
The opening ceremony featured a detailed presentation of the camp programme, an introduction to scouting traditions to be followed during the camp and the distribution of participants into groups under designated leaders.
The first day's activities included administrative and organisational tasks such as dividing delegations into sub-camps based on regions and schools, assigning leadership roles; and preparing and distributing camp supplies and tools. Under the supervision of scout leaders, participants also engaged in practical exercises, including tent pitching and teamwork activities, to build skills in discipline, organisation and cooperation.
The camp programme over the coming days will feature a variety of workshops, sports competitions, cultural activities and service projects designed to foster leadership, responsibility and national pride among the participating scouts. — ONA
