

SALALAH: HH Sayyid Marwan bin Turki al Said, Governor of Dhofar, performed Eid Al Fitr prayers at Sultan Qaboos Mosque in the Wilayat of Salalah on Monday.
Musallam bin Ali al Mashali, Imam and Preacher at Sultan Qaboos Mosque in Salalah, led the prayers. In his sermon, Al Mashali underlined the virtues of the blessed Eid, which, he said, embodies the values of tolerance, compassion and kinship. He highlighted the significance of Eid in consolidating social ties and instilling the principles of harmony and love among members of society.
The preacher also prayed to the Almighty Allah to protect His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and to bring back the Eid to the Sultanate of Oman; and the Arab and Islamic nations at a time all relish abundant bounties and prosperity.
The prayers were attended by Royal family members, members of the State Council and Majlis Ash'shura, dignitaries, officials, citizens and residents.
DIMA W'ATTAYEEN: Mahmoud bin Yahya al Thuhli, Governor of Al Sharqiyah North, led the Eid Al Fitr prayers in the Wilayat of Dima W'attayeen, joined by the Wali of Dima W'attayeen, shaikhs, dignitaries, elders and a large gathering of citizens and residents.
The prayer was conducted by Salem bin Khalfan al Naabi, Imam and Preacher of the Mahlah Mosque, who delivered a sermon reflecting on the virtues of Ramadhan, the rewards of fasting and the significance of acts of kindness. He further highlighted the importance of strengthening family ties during Eid, extending support to the less fortunate and sharing the blessings of the occasion with those in need.
Following the prayers, the Governor and the Wali received well-wishers from across the wilayat and beyond, exchanging greetings on the joyous occasion. Similarly, the walis of the Governorate’s wilayats and the Deputy Wali of Al Mudhaibi welcomed citizens and residents in their respective areas after the Eid prayers, fostering a spirit of unity and celebration.
KUMZAR: Sayyid Ibrahim bin Said al Busaidy, Governor of Musandam, performed the Eid Al Fitr prayers in the historic village of Kumzar, joined by military leaders, shaikhs, dignitaries and a congregation of citizens and residents.
The prayer was led by Shaikh Hassan bin Mohammed al Zarafi, who opened his sermon with praise and gratitude to God Almighty for the completion of Ramadhan and the arrival of the blessed Eid.
He reflected on the profound lessons of the holy month, emphasising values such as solidarity, compassion and unity among Muslims. He also prayed for the continued prosperity of Oman and the well-being of His Majesty the Sultan.
Across Musandam, their excellencies, the walis of the Governorate, led Eid prayers at designated prayer grounds, joined by shaikhs, dignitaries, citizens and residents, marking the occasion with prayers and communal celebrations.
AL KAMIL W'AL WAFI: Dr Yahya bin Badr al Maawali, Governor of Al Sharqiyah South, performed the Eid Al Fitr prayers at the main prayer ground in the Wilayat of Al Kamil W'al Wafi, joined by Shaikh Wali of Al Kamil W'al Wafi, shaikhs, dignitaries and a large gathering of citizens and residents.
The prayer was led by Hamad bin Abdullah al Hashemi, who opened the sermon with praise and glorification of God Almighty, reflecting on the significance of Eid Al Fitr as a moment of spiritual fulfilment and communal joy.
He emphasised that Eid is a celebration of faith and obedience, a day of reward after patience and a time for renewed hearts and uplifted souls. "Eid is a day of tolerance and unity, a rebirth of the soul and a season of reconciliation and compassion," he stated, calling on the faithful to strengthen bonds of kinship and embrace the values of harmony and mercy.
LIWA: Mohammed bin Sulaiman al Kindi, Governor of Al Batinah North, performed the Eid Al Fitr prayers at the main prayer ground in the Wilayat of Liwa, joined by Shaikh Wali of Liwa, shaikhs, dignitaries and a large gathering of citizens and residents.
The prayer was led by Dr Saeed bin Salem al Hinai, Director of the Awqaf and Religious Affairs Office in Al Suwaiq, who opened the sermon with Tahlil and Takbir, welcoming worshippers to the joy of Eid following the blessed month of Ramadhan.
He reflected on Eid as a time for reconciliation, compassion and the strengthening of family bonds, drawing from Quran verses and prophetic traditions. He also highlighted the occasion’s role in reinforcing national identity and instilling values of mercy, harmony and generosity in future generations.
Encouraging the congregation to bring joy to others, he underscored the significance of fostering a society rooted in tolerance, cooperation and solidarity.
Following the prayers, the Governor of Al Batinah North received well-wishers, including shaikhs, dignitaries, citizens and residents, exchanging greetings and congratulations on the occasion of Eid.
IBRI: Najeeb bin Ali al Rawas, Governor of Al Dhahirah, performed the Eid Al Fitr prayer at the Eid prayer ground in Al Nahda district, Wilayat of Ibri, joined by Shaikh Wali of Ibri, esteemed shaikhs, dignitaries, elders and a large congregation of citizens and residents.
The prayer was led by Sami bin Khamis al Majrafi, Imam and Preacher of Sultan Qaboos Mosque in Ibri, who began the sermon with Takbir, Tahlil and Tasbih. He reflected on Eid as a day of joy and reward, emphasising how Ramadhan refines souls, strengthens willpower and instills moral values in younger generations. He highlighted the virtues of mercy, harmony and generosity as the essence of a strong and cohesive society.
The sermon also addressed the blessings and challenges of modern technology, recognising its role in bridging distances while cautioning against its potential to create barriers between people. The Imam urged the congregation to strike a balance between digital interactions and real-life human connections.
Following the prayers, the Governor of Al Dhahirah exchanged warm greetings and Eid blessings with well-wishers.
Across the governorate, their excellencies the walis of Al Dhahirah performed Eid prayers in their respective wilayats, marking the occasion in the presence of shaikhs, dignitaries, citizens and residents.
BARKA: Eng Masoud bin Said al Hashmi, Governor of Al Batinah South, performed the Eid Al Fitr prayer at the main Eid prayer ground in the wilayat of Barka, joined by the Wali of Barka, esteemed shaikhs, dignitaries and a large gathering of citizens and residents.
The prayer was led by Saif bin Nasser al Mubahisi, who opened the sermon with praises to God Almighty for the blessings of Islam, security and peace. He highlighted the significance of Eid as a day of spiritual renewal, joy and divine reward after the holy month of Ramadhan.
The sermon emphasised the importance of instilling noble values, strengthening national identity and nurturing these principles in future generations. He also urged the community to use this occasion to reinforce family bonds, promote social cohesion and uphold the values of brotherhood, cooperation and tolerance.
Following the prayer, the Governor welcomed a gathering of well-wishers, including shaikhs, dignitaries and officials from government, civil, and private institutions, along with citizens from various villages. The attendees exchanged Eid greetings and prayers for continued prosperity and blessings for the Islamic nation.
ADAM: Shaikh Hilal bin Said al Hajri, Governor of Al Dakhiliyah, performed the Eid Al Fitr prayer at the Eid prayer ground in the Wilayat of Adam, joined by Dr Mohammed bin Ali bin Said Zabanoot, Wali of Adam, along with shaikhs, dignitaries and residents.
The prayer was led by Ahmed bin Hamad al Mahrouqi, who opened his sermon with praise and gratitude to God Almighty.
Al Mahrouqi concluded with prayers for Oman’s prosperity, the well-being of His Majesty the Sultan; and continued security and blessings for the nation.
AL BURAIMI: Sayyid Dr Hamad bin Ahmed al Busaidy, Governor of Al Buraimi, led the Eid prayers in the Wilayat of Al Al Sinainah, accompanied by several distinguished officials, shaikhs, dignitaries and a gathering of citizens and residents.
The prayer was led by Dr Ahmed bin Ali al Shuaibi, Director of the Awqaf and Religious Affairs Department in Al Buraimi Governorate. In his sermon, he expressed gratitude to God for His boundless grace and blessings, reflecting on the many favors God has granted to Oman and its people. He urged worshippers to recognize and be thankful for these blessings.
Additionally, the Walis of Al Buraimi Governorate performed the Eid Al Fitr prayers at various prayer grounds within their respective governorates, joined by shaikhs, dignitaries and a large gathering of citizens and residents. — ONA
