MUSCAT: The first City Season will be held at the Sultan Haitham City from February 13, Thursday and continues until February 15.


The City Season is organised by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning in cooperation with partners from the public and private sectors. It will witness a variety of sports and entertaining events including sports marathons, mountain bike races, paragliding shows, electronic games championships, football tournaments and theatrical performances.


Visitors to the season will also have the opportunity to learn about the latest residential projects and modern facilities with six major real estate developers participating in providing an overview of the residential neighbourhoods and integrated communities depicting what life will be like at the Sultan Haitham City.


Jamal al Hadi, Media Advisor to the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, said that this event is more than just a festival, it is an interactive experience that reflects the commitment to building a sustainable, integrated city and reflects the public-private partnership in organizing this season which combines sports, cultural and entertaining activities while highlighting real estate opportunities that provide visitors and investors with a glimpse into the future of housing in the city. He explained that the City Season constitutes an opportunity for those interested in the urban community and investors to meet in an interactive atmosphere that reflects the essence of life in the city. He added: “We do not only present a vision, but we provide the opportunity to experience this vision on the ground in a city designed to meet everybody’s needs and we invite everyone to be part of this experience to see for themselves how the urban vision turns into a tangible reality and how everyone can be part of the story of Sultan Haitham City, a city that is built to be lived."
