Citizens, residents invited to join marine procession in Muscat

Muscat: To mark the fifth anniversary of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s ascension to the throne, Muscat Governorate will organize a marine procession of yachts, boats, and jet skis on Friday (January 16), in cooperation with several governmental and private entities, under the patronage of Sayyid Saud bin Hilal al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat.


The event will start at 9 am from Jumeirah Muscat Bay Resort and will continue until 5 pm will include marine shows using jet skis and fly-boards, in addition to Omani folk art performances.


The process will have stops at Marina Bandar al Rowdha in Muscat, Muttrah Waterfront, Port Sultan Qaboos Port, and Qurum Beach, with visual displays highlighting Muttrah’s history and rich maritime heritage.


The parade will conclude at Al Mouj Muscat Marina in Seeb, where boats, yachts, and jet skis line up to form a magnificent marine painting that reflects the beauty of Muscat’s coastline and its blending with national sentiments.


All citizens and residents, who wish to participate in the march to register in advance via the dedicated link https://linktr.ee/seamarch.


The event is free and meals will be provided. Participants are urged to wear hats to avoid sunstroke or heat stress.


Participants will return to Marina Bandar Al Rowdha from Al Mouj in Mwasalat buses.
