Chairman of ASDS receives Saudi Delegation

MUSCAT: Maj Gen Hamid bin Ahmed Sakroon, Chairman of the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies (ASDS) received in his office at Bait Al Falaj on Tuesday received Maj Gen Hassan Abdullah Al Malki, Commander of the Saudi Arabian War College and his accompanying delegation. They exchanged cordial talks and discussed several matters of common interest, particularly topics related to the academic aspects.


The meeting was attended by senior officers at the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies.


As part of his visit to the Sultanate of Oman, the guest and his delegation visited the Joint Command and Staff College (CSC) at the Academy for Strategic and Defense Studies.


Upon their arrival at the college, the guests were greeted by Brigadier Saif bin Hamad al Yousifi, Commandant of the CSC.


The guests were briefed on the CSC, its curricula and training and educational programmes. They also toured the college’s facilities and departments.


The Commander of the Saudi Arabian War College and his accompanying delegation also visited the National Defence College (NDC). Upon the guests’ arrival at the NDC, they were greeted by Brigadier Mansoor bin Ali al Amri, NDC Acting Commandant. Members of the visiting delegation were briefed on the college's facilities and its strategic curriculum, which focuses on preparing national competencies capable of making strategic decisions at various levels.


They also toured the NDC's departments and various halls. — ONA
