King Hamad bin Issa al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain will pay a state visit to the Sultanate of Oman with effect from Tuesday (January 14).
The Diwan of Royal Court issued a statement to this effect, reading as follows: “King Hamad bin Issa al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain will pay a state visit to the Sultanate of Oman, with effect from Tuesday (January 14). The visit comes in response to an invitation from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
“The two leaders will explore some aspects of joint interest and various topics that contribute to promoting the joint Gulf action. They will also exchange views on the regional and international developments.
“May the Almighty Allah grant success to the two leaderships for the good of their peoples, and the Arab and Islamic nations!”
The Sultanate of Oman and the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain are looking forward to further partnerships that reflect the strong ties between the two countries.
The Omani-Bahraini summit, to be held on Tuesday at Al Alam Palace, under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and King Hamad bin Issa al Khalifa, is an embodiment of this historical depth, strategic cooperation and continuous coordination.
Omani-Bahraini relations represent a model to be emulated in the journey of the Gulf Cooperation Council, especially since the roots of these ties extend to decades and were built on solid foundations of brotherhood and mutual understanding. These relations were further enhanced by the historical trade ties in pearl fishing and frankincense trade, which were popular between the two countries and peoples. Sayyid Faisal bin Hareb al Busaidy, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Bahrain, said in a statement that King Hamad bin Issa al Khalifa will be a dear guest of the Sultanate of Oman, its leadership, government and people.
The ambassador added that the historical visit of the King of Bahrain to Oman embodies the depth of the advanced and close bilateral relations and translates the nature and strength of the relationship between the two wise leaderships and their brotherly peoples in various spheres. — ONA
