Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has said that the digital copy of the Omani passport is currently available on a trial basis and will soon be available through its application.
ROP in reply to a query said that monitoring the status of services is available through the police application for free.
The service of inquiring about the status of services is available by subscribing to text messages for those who wish to do so on the number (90058).
Citizens, residents, and companies can benefit from the service of inquiring via text messages to receive messages related to some police services such as the inquiry about the expiry date of the civil card or resident card, passport expiry alert, the vehicle registration expiry date, and the visa application status.
For SMS services, send the word HELP to 90085. The value of each message is 100 bz and the subscription fee for the SMS alert service is RO1 and is valid for six months.
Expatriates can use the driver's license number or the Resident card number instead of the civil number.
