Al Bashayer Club secured an important 81-50 victory over Ahli Sidab in the final round of the Oman Basketball League 2024-2025 at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher. Al Bashayer raised their tally to four points from two consecutive victories with this win.
The match saw clear dominance from Al Bashayer during the first, second and fourth quarters, while Ahli Sidab managed to secure the third quarter without impacting the outcome.
Al Bashayer’s win was largely due to the outstanding performances of their players, with Osama al Riyami, Samkelwe Bryan, Hadeed Bait Bakhit, and Saeed al Saadi leading the scoring. The match began with a strong offensive from Al Bashayer, who took an early nine-point lead following three three-pointers by Osama al Riyami. Ahli Sidab scored their first two points from a free throw by Jalen Key. Al Bashayer continued their offensive pressure, adding 16 more points, while Ahli Sidab scored only nine points, ending the first quarter with Al Bashayer leading 25-11.
In the second quarter, Al Bashayer extended their lead, adding 18 more points, while Ahli Sidab scored only nine points. The first half concluded with Al Bashayer ahead at 43-20.
In the third quarter, Ahli Sidab improved both offensively and defensively, managing to score 20 points. However, Al Bashayer responded effectively, adding 17 points, ending the third quarter with Al Bashayer still in the lead at 60-40.
Al Bashayer regained full control in the fourth quarter, with their players scoring 21 points and limiting Ahli Sidab to only 10 points. The game concluded with Al Bashayer triumphing over Ahli Sidab with a final score of 81-50.
The match was officiated by international referee Issam al Siyabi as the first referee, international referee Wafaa al Samriya as the second referee and Ali al Salmani as the third referee. The scoring table was managed by Rayan al Dhabaoni, Huda al Hinaiya, and Majid al Akhzami.
