MUSCAT: The total value of real estate trading in the Sultanate of Oman recorded an increase of 28.1 per cent by the end of November 2024, reaching RO 3.130 billion, compared to RO 2.444 billion during the same period in 2023.
Statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information indicated that the fees collected for all legal transactions amounted to RO 62.1 million, an increase of 2.6 per cent compared to the end of November 2023, while the traded value of sale contracts amounted to RO 1.001 million, an increase of 3.1 per cent for 61, 552 sale contracts, with an increase in the number of contracts by 1.9 per cent.
The traded value of mortgage contracts increased by 44.8 per cent, recording RO 2.116 billion for 18,846 contracts, while the number of exchange contracts amounted to 1,223 contracts worth RO 12.4 million.
The number of issued properties by the end of November 2024 amounted to about 210,483 properties, a decrease of 3.4 per cent, while the number of properties issued to citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council amounted to 1,325 properties, an increase of 6.8 per cent. — ONA
