MUSCAT: The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) Oman Chapter has announced the election of Haitham bin Humaid al Raisi as its new president. A prominent fraud and financial crime expert, Al Raisi brings extensive experience to his role, having previously served as the chapter's Membership Director. Throughout his distinguished career, Al Raisi has showcased exceptional leadership in conducting financial crime investigations and implementing effective fraud risk management programmes within the banking sector.
In an inaugural address, Al Raisi has shared his vision for ACFE Oman, with a strong focus on empowering young Omani professionals. “Our primary objective is to equip the next generation with the knowledge and skills necessary to support Oman’s development goals,” he stated. “By fostering a culture of fraud prevention, raising awareness and promoting ethical practices, we aim to build a more informed and responsible society. Engaging young professionals is key to driving sustainable growth and meaningful change.”
Al Raisi also emphasised ACFE Oman’s commitment to providing comprehensive training programmes, professional development opportunities and initiatives aimed at enhancing public awareness about fraud prevention. Under his leadership, the chapter aims to strengthen its role in combating financial crimes and fostering ethical business practices across Oman.
Joining Al Raisi is a newly elected team of board members who will guide the chapter's initiatives for the upcoming term: Fathiya al Maskari: Vice-President, Afrah al Ghafri: Secretary, Sultan al Hamdani: Treasurer, Dr Iram Ansari: Director of Training, Research and Development, Waleed al Abri: Director of Membership, Amal al Kaburi: Director of Sponsorship, Hassan Ahmed: Director of Media and Programmes, and Jose Chacko: Adviser. This dynamic team of professionals brings a diverse array of expertise and is well-positioned to lead ACFE Oman into a successful and impactful future. Together, they aim to uphold the chapter’s mission of combating financial crimes and promoting ethical excellence within the community.
