SUHAR: Sohar University launched its Annual Staff Development Week on Monday organised by the Human Resources Department. The event saw active participation from the university’s management, academic and administrative staff. The programme aims to provide comprehensive training and development opportunities for all staff members.
The week commenced with a presentation by Dr Hamdan al Fazari, Vice-Chancellor of Sohar University, who highlighted the university's achievements during the first semester, and outlined aspirations for the upcoming second semester.
Dr Huda Abu Hamedha, Chair of the ISAR Committee, followed with updates on the university’s ongoing preparations for institutional accreditation. Adding to the enriching start, Prof Ghassan al Kindi, Vice-Chancellor for Research and Innovation, presented insights on the university's latest advancements in research and innovation.
Throughout the week, the programme will feature a diverse array of training workshops and lectures tailored to enhance the skills of academic, administrative and senior management staff. The event will culminate with a comprehensive induction programme for all new staff members joining the university, ensuring they are well-prepared to integrate into Sohar University's vibrant community.
