MUSCAT: In line with its mission to foster national talent, the Royal Academy of Management (RAM), in partnership with the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs (MoARA), has introduced the ‘Minbar for an Impactful Speech’ programme. This initiative brings together 50 preachers from across Oman, aiming to elevate the role of mosque preachers in promoting national, social, and humanitarian values. The programme addresses the growing need for effective public speaking and preaching skills.
Designed to have a lasting impact, the programme equips preachers with innovative tools and strategic vision, enhancing their ability to contribute meaningfully to society. It aligns with Oman’s broader goals of building a cohesive society capable of tackling present and future challenges. The programme also emphasises the use of modern technologies to spread knowledge while preserving Omani identity and culture.
Dr Ali bin Qassim al Lawati, President of RAM, said: "The 'Minbar for an Impactful Speech' programme is a key initiative to support mosque preachers. It highlights the collaboration between RAM and the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs. The programme aims to foster values of tolerance, openness and constructive dialogue, empowering preachers to contribute to Oman’s development while reinforcing national values and identity."
Conducted over ten days, the programme combines theory and practical sessions, led by public speaking experts. The training focuses on using modern technologies, such as artificial intelligence, to enhance speaking skills and create educational content. It also includes interactive dialogues on vital national topics such as intellectual security, Omani identity, tolerance, and the knowledge-based economy, helping participants engage with contemporary issues and promote national values.
