Awqaf Ministry reviews ‘Year of Mosque’ outcomes

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs (MoARA) on Thursday announced the launch of ‘Year of the Employee 2025’ during an annual meeting.


The annual meeting, held under the auspices of Dr Mahad bin Said Baowain, Minister of Labour, reviewed the outcomes of ‘Year of the Mosque’ programme.


The meeting was attended by Dr Mohammed bin Said al Maamari, Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs.


In a speech on the occasion, Al Maamari stressed the essential role of the employee in developing the Ministry’s performance and its drive to achieve its desired visions and ambitions.


Al Maamari pointed out that, “This year, the Ministry will focus on consolidating the work environment in a manner that will enhance innovation and upgrade the skills of employees.”


For his part, Dr Khalil bin Hamad al Busaidy, Legal Adviser at the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, delivered a speech in which he emphasised the goals and accomplishments made during recent years.


Dr Ahmed bin Ali al Kaabi, Director-General of Endowments, Funds, Mosque Construction and Quran Schools at the Ministry, gave a visual presentation that outlined the outcomes of the mosques sector and its future plans. He explained that 19 new electronic services related to mosques, prayer halls and Quran schools will be launched by the Ministry in this context. — ONA
