DIBBA: Dibba Al Hisn Municipality has successfully reopened Al Doub Neighbourhood Park, transforming it into a vibrant and sustainable recreational space for residents.
The redevelopment features expansive green areas, walking paths, children’s play zones, and eco-friendly amenities, all designed to foster a healthier, more active community.
The park now boasts native plants that reduce water consumption and a smart irrigation system to enhance sustainability. It also includes safe, eco-conscious equipment for children, ensuring the park is welcoming for all ages. As part of the reopening, the municipality launched the ‘I Grow My Garden’ workshop to introduce children to sustainable gardening practices. This initiative helps instil a sense of environmental responsibility and offers hands-on learning in a fun, engaging way. Talib bin Abdullah al Yahyai, Director of Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, highlighted the park’s role in enhancing residents’ well-being, stating that parks provide safe spaces for children to play, promote physical activity for all ages, and encourage relaxation.
He emphasised that this initiative supports the municipality’s broader vision of creating sustainable urban spaces that balance development with environmental preservation.
