Muscat: The Oman Football Association (OFA) has purchased all 5,600 tickets allocated for Oman team fans for Oman’s forthcoming semi-final against Saudi Arabia in the 26th edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup on Tuesday, according to officials. Three flights from Muscat to Kuwait will be arranged, according to the source, for Omani fans to support the team in this crucial match against Saudi Arabia.

The national team campaign “We are all with the national team,” which is run by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth in coordination with the OFA, will be the main source for fans to register and confirm their attendance over the next two days.

After securing a slot in the semi-finals, the fans expect the national football team to reach the final and claim their third title after their wins in 2009 in Muscat and 2018 in Kuwait. Oman’s coaching staff, headed by Rasheed Jaber and his assisting team, is working on turning these dreams into reality while rectifying minor defensive mistakes from previous matches. Furthermore, the coaching staff will focus more on the attacking side of the Saudi Arabia team, as they are the top team in this tournament with eight goals from the group stage.

Jaber will highlight the team’s latest preparations for the upcoming match against Saudi Arabia, accompanied by one of the players, in a press conference on Monday at the media centre.

The Oman team resumed training sessions on Sunday after a day’s rest following the tough match against the UAE, which ended in a 1-1 draw. Coach Rasheed may rely on the same style and starting players for Tuesday’s match against Saudi Arabia, including Essam al Subhi, Abdulrahman al Mushefri, Al Munther al Alawi, and Harib al Saadi, alongside other players.
