MUSCAT: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) organised on Sunday, December 29, 2024, the Omani-Saudi Partnership Forum, which aims to open new horizons for joint cooperation and explore promising investment opportunities in various sectors, especially in the fields of health, education, technology and consulting.


The forum discussed investment opportunities and enhancing cooperation between the private sectors in the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.


Faisal bin Abdullah al Rawas, OCCI Chairman said: “The Omani-Saudi Partnership Forum represents one of the manifestations of the continuous development of relations between the two countries at various levels, as this development stems from the keenness and care of the leaderships of the two countries, who possess insightful visions that seek to achieve the desired economic integration in a way that positively reflects on achieving the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.”


He lauded the efforts of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, the Omani-Saudi Business Council and other business forums, in supporting partnerships between the private sectors of the two countries.


For his part, Saud al-Qablan, Deputy CEO of the Services Exports Sector in Saudi Arabia, said the partnerships will contributing to achieving common goals set out in the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and Oman's Vision 2040. He also reviewed the successes achieved by the Kingdom in hosting major global events such as the 2034 World Cup, as well as organising Expo 2030 in Riyadh, noting that these achievements represent important milestones in enhancing the Kingdom's position on the international scene and reflect the progress it has made in building a strong and advanced economy.


On the occasion, OCCI economic researcher Shaikha al Alawi made a presentation on the theme, “Explore the Omani Market”, which outlined attractive sectors for investment in Sultanate. For his part, Abdulaziz al Falasi from the Saudi Export Development Authority made a similar presentation on investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia. — ONA
