KUWAIT: The Royal Academy of Management (RAM) successfully concluded the ‘Future of Work in Government for GCC Countries’ programme, a pioneering initiative aimed at second-line government leaders across Oman and other GCC nations. This first-of-its-kind programme was implemented in collaboration with the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) in Bahrain, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) of Kuwait and Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford. It seeks to enhance Gulf integration in government development and support national visions for future readiness.

The graduation ceremony took place during the final in-person module from December 23 to 25 in Kuwait, under the auspices of Dr Essam al Rubaian, President of the Kuwait Civil Service Commission. The event was attended by Dr Ali bin Qassim al Lawati, President of RAM, and senior officials and experts from across the GCC.

The programme included ten virtual modules in Arabic, focusing on key topics such as public administration, project management, digital transformation, and leadership strategies. It also addressed essential issues like change management and the role of mid-level leadership in executing senior strategies and fostering innovation in government.

Dr Ali bin Qassim al Lawati emphasised the importance of strengthening leadership capabilities to drive sustainable transformation in government operations across the GCC, ensuring future readiness.

He also highlighted RAM’s commitment to fostering Gulf cooperation through innovative learning solutions, including the use of AI and experiential learning, to support the development of government leaders at all levels. Participants commended the programme for promoting innovation and efficiency in government work, strengthening institutional integration in the region.
