Al Nasr defeated Oman Club with three goals without a response, while Al Shabab defeated Al Rustaq with a clear goal and Bahla succeeded in outperforming Sur with the same result in the confrontations of the sixth round of the Oman Football Association (OFA) Cup Championship on Wednesday.

Al Nasr earned a well-deserved 3-0 win against Oman Club in a match that began cautiously, with both teams displaying balanced performances in the first half. Despite attempts from both sides, the first half ended in a goalless draw due to a lack of attacking effectiveness.

The second half saw a clear shift in momentum as Al Nasr asserted control over the game. Samuel, their professional player, opened the scoring in the 48th minute. Despite Oman Club’s efforts to equalise with several opportunities, a lack of focus in their finishing hindered their attempts.

Al Nasr doubled their lead in the 79th minute when Samuel struck again, putting his team in a comfortable position. The third goal came in the 85th minute when Marwan Taib sealed the win with a stunning strike past goalkeeper Mohammed al Balushi.

Oman Club came close to reducing the deficit in the 86th minute when their professional player Daniel delivered a dangerous header from a precise cross, but Al Nasr goalkeeper Saeed al Sanani denied it with an excellent save. The match concluded with a decisive 3-0 victory for Al Nasr.

BAHLA EDGE SUR

Bahla claimed a valuable 1-0 win over hosts Sur in a match played at the Sur Sports Complex. The game featured balanced performances, with Bahla pressing offensively while Sur excelled in defensive organisation.

Both teams exchanged chances throughout the game, but luck was not on Sur’s side, particularly in the second half. The game started at a fast pace, with Bahla’s Faisal al Balushi missing two key opportunities in the 10th and 20th minutes. Sur responded with dangerous attempts, including a strike by Fahad al Mukhaini that hit the crossbar in the 75th minute.

Bahla secured the decisive goal in the 88th minute when Younis al Riyami unleashed a precise shot that found the back of the net, earning his team a well-deserved victory.

Al Shabab secured an important 1-0 victory over Al Rustaq in their clash at Al Rustaq Stadium. The only goal of the game came in the 68th minute when Ahid al Hudhaifi capitalised on a precise pass inside the penalty area, blasting the ball into the net.

Despite Al Rustaq's efforts to equalise, Al Shabab's defence and goalkeeper stood firm, maintaining their slim advantage until the final whistle. The victory earned Al Shabab three crucial points in the competition.
