MUSCAT: MUSCAT: Nizwa Club achieved a significant victory over Al Nasr Club with a score of 86-55, while Ahli Sidab Club defeated Dhofar Club 62-40 in the Oman Basketball League (OBL). The matches were held at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher, bringing both Nizwa and Ahli Sidab's point totals to 9 each.
Nizwa vs Al Nasr, the match between Nizwa and Al Nasr was thrilling, with Nizwa dominating three quarters, while Al Nasr managed to tie in the third quarter. However, the significant point gap in the other quarters gave Nizwa the upper hand. Notable performances for Nizwa came from Ajasil Tonion, Saif al Toubi, Qasim al Qasimi, and Mohammed al Anqoudi, while standout players for Al Nasr included Masoud al Hashemi and Mohammed al Amri.
Nizwa began the game with a strong offensive strategy, scoring 25 points in the first quarter compared to Al Nasr's 10. They maintained their offensive edge in the second quarter, adding 26 points while Al Nasr scored 15, ending the first half with a commanding lead of 51-25.

The match was officiated by a distinguished referee team led by international referee Issam al Siyabi as the first referee, Ali al Salmani as the second referee, and Mazin al Hilali as the third referee. The table officials included Hafedh Awlad Ahmed, Musa al Siyabi and Majid al Akhzami.
Ahli Sidab vs Dhofar
In the second match, Ahli Sidab Club secured an important victory over Dhofar Club with a score of 62-40. Ahli Sidab dominated the first three quarters, while Dhofar outperformed in the fourth. Standout players for Ahli Sidab included Sami al Ghailani, Mahmoud al Hosni, Glyn Key, Hamyar al Hosni and Suhail al Busaidy. For Dhofar, notable performances came from Ayman al Farsi, Abdulrahman al Shibli, and Mohammed al Mahrami.
Ahli Sidab started the game with an aggressive offensive approach, scoring 13 points in the first quarter compared to Dhofar's 8. They continued their dominance in the second quarter, adding 21 points while Dhofar scored only 5, ending the first half with a significant lead of 34-13.
Ahli Sidab maintained their momentum in the third quarter, scoring 19 points compared to Dhofar's 7, closing the quarter at 53-20. However, the fourth quarter saw a shift, with Dhofar taking control and scoring 20 points against Ahli Sidab's 9. Despite Dhofar's late effort, Ahli Sidab emerged victorious with a final score of 62-40.
The match was officiated by a referee team led by international referee Rashid al Mushaifri as the first referee, Thani al Khalasi as the second referee, and international referee Wafa al Samri as the third referee.
