MUSCAT: A class 6 student from Sur has gained an entry into the Guinness World Records by a six-kilometre distance roller skating and spinning a hula-hoop around her hair tied on the top of her head for 28 minutes and 2 seconds.

Shivanya Prashant, a student of Sur Indian School, has been undergoing strenuous practice sessions by herself for several months before the Guinness World Records officials were invited to witness the performance, which was conducted in the presence of a large audience as spectators and with the support of the local authorities and the Royal Oman Police (ROP).
