Suhar: President Aleksandr Lukashenko of the Republic of Belarus and his accompanying delegation visited Sohar Fort in the Wilayat of Sohar, Governorate of North Al Batinah on Tuesday, as part of his official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
Upon his arrival at Sohar Fort, the President of Belarus and his delegation were received by Mohammed Suleiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah.
The President and his accompanying delegation listened to a briefing about Sohar Fort, its history, its archaeological features and its heritage components that stand testimony to many important events in Omani history.
The President went on tour of the corridors of the fort, which is a symbol of Oman’s ancient history and glorious events. The fort is a major landmark in North Al Batinah Governorate.
The Governor of North Al Batinah presented the guest with a souvenir commemorating the visit.
During the visit, President Aleksandr Lukashenko was accompanied by Abdulsalam Mohammed al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority (Head of the Mission of Honour) and members of the Mission accompanying the guest.
