MUSCAT: Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office, received in his office on Monday Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of Naval Staff in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and his accompanying military delegation. During the meeting, the two sides highlighted the historic relations between Oman and Pakistan. They also explored means of enhancing bilateral relations to serve joint interests. The meeting was attended by the Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO).
Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of Naval Staff, and his accompanying military delegation also visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC). The delegation was greeted upon their arrival at the MSC by Commodore Adil bin Hamoud al Busaidy, Head of the MSC. Members of the visiting delegation were briefed on the tactical roles and tasks carried out by the centre in the safety of the Omani maritime environment. They also toured the centre’s facilities and viewed its latest equipment and technologies used in carrying out its national duties.
Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), also received in his office at Muaskar Al Murtafaa Admiral Naveed Ashraf. During the meeting, the two sides discussed a set of military topics, especially in the maritime field. The meeting was attended by some senior RNO officers and the Military Attaché at the Embassy of Pakistan in Muscat. The Chief of Naval Staff and his accompanying military delegation also visited the Military Technological College (MTC). He was accompanied during the visit by Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser al Rahbi. Upon the delegation’s arrival at the college, they were received by the Acting Commandant of the MTC. The visiting delegation was briefed on the college’s education and service facilities. — ONA
