

Muscat - Aleksandr Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus arrived in the Sultanate of Oman on an official visit lasting several days.
An official reception ceremony will be held for the guest president at Al Alam Palace tomorrow Sunday.


A statement to this effect was issued by the Diwan of the Royal Court. It reads as follows:
“Within the context of enhancing and promoting the bilateral relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Belarus in various spheres, President Aleksandr Lukashenko of the Republic of Belarus will pay an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman, starting from today, December 14, 2024.
The visit comes in pursuance of serving the two countries’ interests in a manner that meets their aspirations for further prosperity and growth.
The visit will explore aspects of cooperation between the two countries and means of promoting them, in addition to exchanging views on a set of regional and international developments”.
Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received his counterpart from Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, and explored opportunities to deepen cooperation in agriculture, food security, pharmaceuticals, and investment. Both sides also exchanged views on pressing regional and international issues.
