University of Technology and Applied Sciences celebrates Graduation

AL RUSTAQ: The University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Al Musannah and Al Rustaq College of Education celebrated the graduation of 767 students. The ceremony was held at the Rustaq Sports Complex under the auspices of Shaikh Dr Ali bin Masoud al Sunaidy, Chairman of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ).


The graduates included 241 students from Al Rustaq College of Education across specialisations in Science, Mathematics and English, in addition to 526 graduates from The University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Al Musannah, in technical and applied sciences specialisations. UTAS Al Musannah honoured 195 students specialised in Engineering and Technology, 128 in Computing and Information Sciences, and 203 in Economics and Business Administration. Al Rustaq College of Education celebrated 79 graduates in English, 35 in Chemistry, 44 in Biology, 34 in Physics, and 49 in Mathematics.


Dr Hamood al Wardi, Dean of the Al Rustaq College of Education, emphasised the university's strategic vision, stating: “The University adopts a scientific approach that aligns with advancements in technology, the digital revolution, and open data. This vision keeps pace with the rapid spread of knowledge and scientific developments in educational fields to refine the university's vision and enhance its programmes to achieve excellence.”


Dr Nasser al Bimani, Assistant Vice-Chancellor of UTAS Al Musannah, presented the graduation statement.


Graduate Anfal al Badri, from the Computing and Information Sciences, delivered the graduates' speech, stating: “we promise our wise leadership to be the hands that build and the minds that innovate. We will apply what we have learned and use the modern strategies and advanced scientific theories to achieve the nation's visions and leaders' aspirations.”


Several graduates shared their feelings of pride and joy. Hilal al Sinani, Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, said: “After years of hard work and sleepless nights, my dream of graduating has come true. This moment transforms years of effort into indescribable pride and happiness.”
