MUSCAT: The Oman Business Forum under the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion is set to host its sixth Business Dialogues session titled "Artificial Intelligence and Drones" next Tuesday at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center.
The session will spotlight the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and drone technologies in key sectors while addressing regulatory frameworks that ensure the responsible deployment of these technologies.
Jamal bin Khalfan al Asmi, Executive Director of Reality CG, emphasized that AI and drones play a crucial role in advancing Oman’s Vision 2040 by driving sustainable economic growth and diversification. "These technologies simplify logistics operations and boost sectors like agriculture, reducing water consumption and enhancing productivity through precision farming," he said.
He also noted drones’ significance in disaster management, offering real-time mapping and search-and-rescue capabilities during emergencies like floods and earthquakes.
Industry experts will participate in the session, exploring AI's industrial impact and drones’ potential to transform agriculture and logistics. They will also discuss developing regulatory frameworks to govern these innovations in Oman. — ONA
