MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman’s schools are continuously introducing innovative initiatives to enhance the quality of education and foster well-rounded development among students. One such endeavour, the Injaz Educational Platform Initiative, spearheaded by Amina bint Al Imam Jabir bin Zaid School (grades 9–12) in Al Buraimi Governorate, has been pivotal in improving students’ applied science skills and academic achievements.


Targeting students in grades 10 and 11, the Injaz initiative motivates learners through competitive tests and an incentive-based system. Students earn an Injaz card — bronze, silver, or gold — after completing challenges and excelling in periodic applied science tests conducted on the initiative’s digital platform. These cards come with tangible benefits such as discounts and recognition, provided in collaboration with local entities and companies supporting the programme.


Samia al Balushi, Headmaster and Initiative Director, emphasised its objectives: “The Injaz Initiative aims to inspire students to work diligently, achieve academic excellence, and foster positive competition. It also strengthens school-community partnerships and integrates e-learning into the educational process.”

The initiative is implemented in four structured phases namely planning and preparation, promotion or awareness campaigns in schools, execution, monitoring and evaluation which tracks student progress, analysing data, and refining the initiative.


The project’s multidisciplinary team includes academic, technology, marketing, and public relations experts, ensuring seamless implementation and continuous development.


Students participating in the initiative have lauded its impact. Grade 10 student Zainab bint Mohammed bin Salem shared: “The Injaz platform helped me understand exam question patterns, and I earned the gold card.” Similarly, Mansour al Badi from the Institute of Islamic Sciences said, “I enjoyed reviewing my studies, enhancing my skills, and competing with peers through the platform.”


The Injaz initiative exemplifies how targeted educational strategies can inspire academic excellence, foster innovation, and prepare students to meet future challenges with confidence.
