Muscat: Seeb Club secured a resounding 84-38 victory over Ahli Sidab in the Oman Basketball League match at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in the Wilayat of Bausher.
The game witnessed Seeb's clear dominance from the outset, with the team excelling both offensively and defensively throughout. Key contributors included Ahmed al Sinani, Islam al Ajmi, Noah al Amri and Mazin al Hadidi, whose performances played a pivotal role in securing the victory. On the Ahli Sidab side, standout efforts were made by Jilin Key and Humyar al Hasani, who worked hard to narrow the gap.
Seeb began the match strongly, scoring 10 points through Noah al Amri, Mazin al Hadidi and Rashid al Zuhaibi. Ahli Sidab’s response came through Humyar al Hasani, who netted three points for his team. However, Seeb quickly countered with six additional points from two three-pointers by Islam al Ajmi, ending the first quarter with a commanding 25-5 lead.
Ahli Sidab showed slight improvement in the second quarter, with Jilin Key and Sami al Ghilani scoring six points, reducing the gap to 25-11 at the start of the quarter. Despite this, Seeb continued to dominate by organising swift attacks and capitalising on defensive errors. Noah al Amri and Mazin al Hadidi added more points with precise shots, allowing Seeb to close the first half with a comfortable 45-20 lead.
Entering the third quarter with high morale, Seeb sought to widen the gap further by leveraging their speed and solid defence. The team added 18 points, while Ahli Sidab managed only 8 points, primarily from Jilin Key and Humyar al Hasani, who struggled against Seeb's robust defence. The quarter ended with Seeb leading 63-29.
The final quarter reaffirmed Seeb's complete dominance. Romeo and Alfred opened the scoring with a skilful layup under the basket, followed by successive points from Ahmed al Sinani. Ahli Sidab attempted to respond through Jilin Key, who scored two points after a well-coordinated attack, but Seeb’s efficiency in finishing plays and maintaining high concentration allowed them to extend their lead. Despite repeated efforts from Ahli Sidab, the game concluded with a decisive 84-38 victory for Seeb.
The match was officiated by an international referee team comprising Ahmed bin Darwish al Balushi as the first referee, Issam al Siyabi as the second referee and Rashid al Mashaifri as the third referee. The table officiating duties were handled by Hafidh Awlad Ahmed, Wafa al Samri, Majid al Akhzami, and technical supervisor Faris al Khalasi.
