The 6th edition of the Oman Exhibition for Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food Products (AgroFood) opened at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre on December 2, 2024, under the auspices of Dr Saud bin Hamoud al-Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources. The event, which runs until December 4, brings together more than 170 exhibitors from 19 countries, showcasing cutting-edge innovations and solutions across agriculture, fisheries, and food production sectors.
Dr Al-Habsi highlighted the significance of the exhibition as an international platform. “This exhibition is vital for us, as it serves as a stage for private sector companies, both local and international, to explore opportunities in the food industry. It also welcomes related sectors such as food testing laboratories and logistics providers. We strongly encourage local companies to participate and benefit from the exposure offered by this important platform,” he said.
The exhibition underscores Oman’s commitment to fostering innovation and adopting the latest technologies in agriculture, fisheries, and food production. It provides a key opportunity for entrepreneurs to discover investment prospects, as well as explore advanced products, state-of-the-art machinery, and sustainable practices aimed at enhancing industry standards in Oman.
This year’s participants include representatives from countries such as China, India, Germany, Saudi Arabia, the UK, and many others. Exhibitors are presenting a wide range of advanced technologies, innovative products, and sustainable solutions, reflecting Oman’s growing role as a hub for agricultural and fisheries advancements.
The event is a strategic platform that bridges the gap between companies, government bodies, and decision-makers in the public and private sectors. It aligns with Oman Vision 2040, which prioritises sustainable growth and technological transformation across agriculture, fisheries, and food production.
Visitors can explore live demonstrations, cutting-edge machinery, and innovative solutions for food processing, packaging, and preparation.
