His Majesty arrives in Türkiye

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik arrived in the Republic of Turkiye today on a two-day state visit. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of the Republic of Turkiye led the welcoming party for His Majesty the Sultan. The Turkish President received His Majesty at the foot of the ramp in Ankara Esenboga International Airport, wishing him and the accompanying delegation a successful visit and a pleasant stay. His Majesty the Sultan was also greeted by several Turkish officials and members of the Sultanate of Oman’s Embassy in Ankara.

His Majesty the Sultan was accorded official reception protocols. Upon the arrival of the motorcade of His Majesty at the Presidential Complex, a group of horsemen marched forward before the main vehicle in a manifestation of warm welcome.


After that, the President of Turkiye accompanied His Majesty the Sultan to the dais of honor, where the Omani Royal Anthem and the Turkish Anthem were played, while the artillery fired a 21-gun salute to His Majesty the Sultan.


Then, His Majesty the Sultan, accompanied by the Turkish President, inspected the guard of honor.


After that, His Majesty the Sultan shook hands with senior members of the welcoming party, which comprised Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Treasury and Finance, Yaşar Güler, Minister of Defence, Mehmet Fatih Kacir, Minister of Industry and Technology, Ömer Bolat, Minister of Trade, Mehmet Hakimoğlu, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkiye to the Sultanate of Oman, Fahrettin Altun, Head of Communications of the Presidency and several Turkish officials.


Then, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan shook hands with members of the official delegation accompanying His Majesty the Sultan.


A commemorative photo was taken of His Majesty the Sultan and the Turkish President in front of the Presidential Complex.




His Majesty the Sultan was seen off at the Royal Airport by HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, HH Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham al Said, Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Nuamani, Minister of the Royal Office, Shaikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, Khalid bin Hilal al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan al Busaidi, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, Nasr bin Hamoud al Kindi, Secretary General of the Royal Court Affairs, Dr Madeeha bint Ahmed al Shaibaniya, Minister of Education, Shaikh Al Fadl bin Mohammed al Harthy, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, Lt Gen Hassan bin Mohsin Al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs, Lt Gen Said bin Ali al Hilali, Head of the Internal Security Service, Dr Mohammed bin Said al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, Dr Hilal bin Ali al Sabti, Minister of Health, Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces, Maj Gen Mattar bin Salim al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman, Air Vice Marshal Khamis bin Hammad al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman, Rear Admiral Saif bin Nassir al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman and Maj Gen Musallam bin Mohammed Jaaboub, Commander of the Sultan’s Special Force.



During the visit, His Majesty the Sultan is accompanied by a high-ranking official delegation comprising HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr Hamad bin Said al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, Abdussalam bin Mohammed al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and Saif bin Rashid al Jahwari, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Türkiye.
