Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik arrived on a state visit to the Republic of Türkiye. His Excellency President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey, received and welcomed His Majesty the Sultan upon his arrival at Esenboga International Airport in Ankara.
An official reception ceremony was held for His Majesty the Sultan.
On his arrival at the Presidential Complex, The Turkish President accompanied His Majesty the Sultan to the podium where the Omani Royal Anthem and the Turkish Republican Anthem were played, and the artillery fired 21 rounds in salute to His Majesty the Sultan.
After that, His Majesty the Sultan, accompanied by the Turkish President, inspected the guard of honor, after which His Majesty the Sultan shook hands with the senior Turkish officials who received him, while His Excellency the Turkish President shook hands with the members of the official delegation accompanying the high position.
A commemorative photo was also taken in front of the Presidential Complex building.
Earlier, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik left for the Republic of Türkiye on a two-day state visit, which was in response to an invitation by the Turkish President.
During the visit, the two leaders will discuss the means of enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries in a manner that serves their people.

During the visit, His Majesty the Sultan is accompanied by a high-ranking official delegation comprising HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr Hamad bin Said al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, Abdussalam bin Mohammed al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and Saif bin Rashid al Jahwari, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Türkiye.
