THE HAGUE: The Sultanate of Oman is taking part in the 29th session of the Conference of State Parties to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) held in The Hague.
The delegation of the Sultanate of Oman was represented by Shaikh Dr Abdullah bin Salim al Harthy, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and its Permanent Representative to OPCW, and Saleh bin Yahya al Maskari, Head of the Department of Global Affairs at the Foreign Ministry.
Oman is scheduled to deliver a statement about the organisation’s request to investigate the possibility of Israel’s use of chemical weapons during its brutal criminal war against Palestine and Lebanon.
The speech will also include an appeal to the OPCW member states on the importance of meeting the objectives of the agreement and consolidating peaceful cooperation between member states. — ONA
