The events not only highlighted Oman’s development journey but also strengthened bilateral ties with host nations, reflecting the Sultanate of Oman’s global influence and enduring friendships.
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Brunei
Ambassador Irma bint Said al Kathiriyah, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Brunei Darussalam, hosted a reception in Bandar Seri Begawan to mark the 54th National Day of Oman. The event was attended by Brunei officials and Omani citizens. In her speech, The ambassador highlighted the modern and ongoing renaissance of the Sultanate of Oman, emphasising the strength of the bilateral relations between Oman and Brunei. She also praised the growing cooperation between the two friendly nations.
The ambassador further noted the significance of the year 2024, which marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Oman and Brunei. She remarked that this milestone reflects a long history of mutual achievements and continuous collaboration.
During the ceremony, several documentaries were screened, showcasing the rich history, heritage and the dynamic economic progress of Oman across various sectors. The embassy also organised a cultural exhibition featuring heritage artefacts, photographs of Oman’s most significant cultural and tourist sites, and key landmarks of the Omani Renaissance. Additionally, the exhibition included brochures highlighting promising investment opportunities in Oman.
ASTANA, Kazakhstan
The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Kazakhstan celebrated the 54th Glorious National Day with a vibrant reception hosted by Mohammed bin Abdullah al Bahrani, Ambassador of Oman, in Astana. The ambassador emphasised Oman’s commitment to global peace, security, and dialogue-driven solutions, highlighting the deepening Omani-Kazakh relations across education, tourism and trade. The event saw the attendance of prominent Kazakh officials, parliamentarians, diplomats and business leaders.
NEW DELHI, India
In India, Issa bin Saleh al Shaibani, Ambassador of Oman, held a National Day reception in New Delhi. Dignitaries including Suresh Gopi, India’s Minister of State for Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Tourism, as well as representatives of international organisations and private institutions, graced the occasion.
BUDAPEST, Hungary
The Embassy of Oman in Hungary also joined the global celebrations, with Malallah bin Mahmoud al Balushi hosting a reception in Budapest. The ambassador highlighted Oman’s steadfast principles of peace and diplomacy while celebrating the enduring friendship between Oman and Hungary. The event was attended by Hungarian officials, ambassadors, Omani students and citizens.
MOSCOW, Russia
In Moscow, the Sultanate of Oman’s Embassy in Russia, represented by Amoud bin Salim al Tuwaih, hosted a reception featuring a documentary showcasing Oman’s rich history and tourism potential. Senior Russian officials, diplomats and Omani students participated in the celebration, underscoring the strong cultural and diplomatic ties.
