The events not only highlighted Oman’s development journey but also strengthened bilateral ties with host nations, reflecting the Sultanate of Oman’s global influence and enduring friendships.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Brunei


Ambassador Irma bint Said al Kathiriyah, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Brunei Darussalam, hosted a reception in Bandar Seri Begawan to mark the 54th National Day of Oman. The event was attended by Brunei officials and Omani citizens. In her speech, The ambassador highlighted the modern and ongoing renaissance of the Sultanate of Oman, emphasising the strength of the bilateral relations between Oman and Brunei. She also praised the growing cooperation between the two friendly nations.


The ambassador further noted the significance of the year 2024, which marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Oman and Brunei. She remarked that this milestone reflects a long history of mutual achievements and continuous collaboration.


During the ceremony, several documentaries were screened, showcasing the rich history, heritage and the dynamic economic progress of Oman across various sectors. The embassy also organised a cultural exhibition featuring heritage artefacts, photographs of Oman’s most significant cultural and tourist sites, and key landmarks of the Omani Renaissance. Additionally, the exhibition included brochures highlighting promising investment opportunities in Oman.

The ambassador emphasised Oman’s commitment to global peace, security, and dialogue-driven solutions, highlighting the deepening Omani-Kazakh relations across education, tourism and trade.
