IBRA: The 'Family Creativity Forum in Al Sharqiyah North Governorate' commenced on Sunday in the Wilayat of Ibra, bringing together business owners and productive families from across the governorate. Organised by the General Directorate of Social Development in Al Sharqiyah North, the three-day forum aims to boost local production and promote Omani craftsmanship.
Al Moatasim bin Hilal al Hosni, Director-General of the General Directorate of Social Development in Al Sharqiyah North Governorate, emphasised that the forum reflects the Ministry of Social Development’s commitment to fostering collaboration between public and private sectors. The initiative seeks to raise awareness of the value of supporting national products, providing a platform for families to participate in commercial activities, develop their businesses, and enhance product quality.
Held at Souq Al Arbaa (Wednesday market) in Ibra’s commercial area, the forum features an exhibition showcasing handicrafts, traditional foods, and home-based creations. It serves as a marketing platform for participating families, helping them increase their income and inspiring further innovation.
Mahmood bin Yahya al Thuhli, Governor of Al Sharqiyah North, inaugurated the forum, which underscores the region’s dedication to empowering local families and strengthening their economic contributions. — ONA
